Alaskan Way Lane Closure Tomorrow

SEATTLE--The Seattle Department of Transportation will assist WSDOT with traffic control by closing the southbound, right-hand lane of Alaska Way tomorrow, May 22, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. The lane closure is needed to accommodate work at the Washington Street Pier.

The lane will be closed from south of the Ferry Terminal to South Washington Street. The sidewalk will also be closed to pedestrians with a detour provided.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $12 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
