Date: Wednesday, May 20

Time: 1 p.m.

Location: Seattle City Light parking lot, Fourth Avenue South and South Spokane Street. (Please see directions below)

Come and see the pouring of the last column for the future Fourth Avenue, eastbound off-ramp from the Spokane Street Viaduct. Learn the status of the $168 million viaduct widening project and next steps.

A brief tour of the ramp project, photo-op, and press kit will be provided.

Please RSVP to (206) 684-8548 so we will know how many people to expect.

Directions: Approach the site via 4th Avenue South and turn east into the large parking lot south of Spokane Street. Continue straight for 50 yards (past the Seattle City Light customer parking area) to the Spokane Project parking area. Look for signs and guides in safety vests. Do NOT proceed into the work zone area without an SDOT escort.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $12 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
