Saturday Construction on NW Market Street

SEATTLE- Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) paving crews plan to work at two locations on NW Market Street in Ballard on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

One location will be 1545 W Market Street where they will provide one lane of traffic in each direction.

The second location will be 3030 W Market Street where the roadway will be closed to through traffic between 30th Ave NW and 32nd Ave NW and a detour provided by way of NW 54th Street.

Parking will be restricted at these locations, but sidewalks will remain open and access to businesses will be maintained.

The crews will restore pavement that was previously excavated for work on underground utilities.

For more information, please call (206) 684-4661.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $12 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
