Seattle Parks And Recreation To Host Meetings
For Five Play Area Renovations

Seattle Parks and Recreation will host public meetings for five different playground renovation projects throughout Seattle in the coming month.

All five projects are funded by the 2008 Parks and Green Spaces Levy, and are on an accelerated schedule as part of Mayor Greg Nickels’ Seattle Jobs Forward package.

    The play areas are located at:

  • Brighton Playfield, 6000 39th Avenue S.
  • Atlantic Street Park, 1500 21st Ave. S
  • Bhy Kracke Park, 1215 5th Ave. N
  • Bay View Playground, 2614 24th Ave. W
  • John C. Little, Sr. Park, 6961 37th Ave. S

Please come and bring your ideas on how to make these exciting new play destinations. The project renovations include play area improvements for children ages 2 -12, safety surfacing, site improvements that may include picnic tables and access improvements.

1.  The meeting for Brighton Park playground will be on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at Aki Kurose Middle School, 3928 S. Graham Street.  For more information:
