Mariners Season Home Opener Tomorrow!
Plan on possible traffic delays

SEATTLE - On Tuesday, April 14, the Seattle Mariners will hold their season home opener against the Los Angeles Angels at 3:40 p.m. at Safeco Field. Spectators and commuters can expect heavy traffic in the stadium area and on major routes. The Seattle Department of Transportation asks commuters and game attendees to give themselves extra time for their trips. Seattle Police officers will be on duty near the stadium to guide drivers through the area before and after the game. The department also encourages motorists to consider other means beyond the automobile of traveling to the event, such as taking the bus, cycling or walking if appropriate.

Please be aware of street closures near the stadium associated with construction on the SR 519 Intermodal Access Project. For more information, please go to: www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/SR519.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $12 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
