Boylston Ave E and I-5 Boylston ramps to close all weekend

SEATTLE - The Washington State Department of Transportation I-5 Noise Wall project will close both directions of Boylston Avenue E. between Lakeview Boulevard E. and E. Lynn Street and between E. Roanoke Street and E. Hamlin Street all weekend. Both the southbound I-5 exit to Boylston Avenue/Roanoke Street and the Boylston Avenue E. on-ramp to southbound I-5 will also be closed. The closure will begin at 9 p.m. Friday, April 10 and all lanes will open by 5 a.m. Monday, April 13. Drivers should follow the signed detour routes.

The closure is necessary for driver safety while crews use large cranes to install noise wall panels.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $12 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
