West Mercer Place to reopen

SEATTLE - Saturday night, March 28, the Seattle Sounders will face Real Salt Lake at Qwest Field. An estimated crowd of up to 25,000 soccer fans will be in attendance when the match gets under way at 7:30 p.m. Occidental Avenue S, adjacent to the stadium, will be closed from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; motorists should expect congestion around the stadium before and after the match.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $12 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels' goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
