Update: Detour Shortened on 14th Avenue South in South Park

SEATTLE-SDOT's contractor continues paving the southbound lanes of 14th Avenue South in the South Park neighborhood.

During this work, the southbound lanes of 14th Avenue South, between South Cloverdale and South Director streets, are closed to traffic 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The detour provided has been shortened, and now uses Seventh Avenue South and Eight Avenue South between S Cloverdale and S 96th streets.

One lane on 14th Avenue S remains open for northbound traffic.

The contractor expects to complete the work within two weeks, weather permitting.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $12 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels' goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
