Night Rally and March on Saturday Night

SEATTLE - At 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, up to 200 participants are expected to join in the “Queers Unite: Take Back the Night Rally and March.” The march will be escorted by Seattle Police Officers. The Seattle Department of Transportation advises motorists that they could encounter a “rolling slowdown” along the route.

The march will start at Boren Avenue and Pike Street; head east on Pike to Melrose Avenue; then north on Melrose to E Pine Street; east on Pine to Broadway; south on Broadway to E Pike Street; east on Pike to 11th Avenue; north on 11th to the Bobby Morris Playfield.

For more information about the march please visit the Seattle Activism website: http://www.seattleactivism.org/events/event6632.htm

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $12 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
