Traffic signals are being put back online in NE Seattle

SEATTLE - Traffic signals and traffic cameras in areas of Northeast Seattle were affected by a computer network problem today. Signals are flashing red, directing drivers to stop before proceeding.

SDOT traffic crews are in the process of visiting 40 intersections to correct the problem. They hope to complete this work and have the signals working normally by the afternoon commute period.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $12 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
