Construction on Roosevelt Way NE this Weekend

SEATTLE - A private construction company will work in the 4300 block of Roosevelt Way NE this weekend to prepare for the installation of a storm drain. Crews will restrict Roosevelt Way NE to one southbound lane when needed for construction on Friday, February 6 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday, February 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.. NE 43rd Street will be closed to through traffic, but open for local access (to businesses on 43rd). Sidewalks on Roosevelt Way will be closed one at a time as the work progresses across the street, with parking lanes converted to walkways. The contractor hopes to complete work on Saturday, but if needed, work may continue through Tuesday.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
