“Save Seattle Schools” March on Sunday

SEATTLE – On Sunday, January 25, up to 500 people are expected to participate in the “Save Seattle Schools: ESP Vision March.” The marchers will assemble at T.T. Minor Elementary School, which is located at 1700 E Union Street.

At 2:00 p.m. the march will head east on E Union Street; then south on 23rd Avenue to E Cherry Street where the march concludes at the Garfield Community Center. Seattle Police officers will escort the marchers. The Seattle Department of Transportation reminds motorists to plan on possible delays along the march route.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
