Street Improvements Resume on 14th Avenue S in South Park

SEATTLE-A contractor working for the Seattle Department of Transportation has begun work on 14th Avenue South in South Park after a holiday and winter weather break. For the next three weeks the contractor plans to work on the east side of 14th between Director and Donovan streets, maintaining one lane of traffic open in each direction. There will be some turn restrictions from 14th Avenue South and there may be restricted access to 14th Avenue South from side streets. Work will include catch basins, sidewalks, and roadway concrete panel replacement.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
