March for Equality on Saturday Morning

SEATTLE - On Saturday morning, January 10, an estimated 500 participants will take part in the “March for Equality - Seattle Against the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).” Assembling and leaving from Seattle Central Community College at 11:30 a.m., the marchers will be escorted by Seattle Police officers. The march will leave the college campus at Broadway and E Pine Street and head west on E Pine Street to Westlake Park at Fourth Avenue.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
