SDOT Revises Plans for Weekend Bridge Work
Only Fairview Avenue North work will proceed

SEATTLE- Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) bridge crews will only conduct maintenance work on Fairview Avenue North over the upcoming weekend. Previously scheduled work on the Aurora Bridge and the NE 45th Street Viaduct has been canceled due to weather concerns, and will be rescheduled for later this month.

Fairview Avenue North work is scheduled from Saturday, December 13, to Sunday, December 14. SDOT will close the southbound lane of Fairview Avenue North just south of East Galer Street from Saturday at 1 p.m. until Sunday at 1 p.m. to allow crews to make structural repairs on this elevated roadway. This work is subject to change based on weather or emergency needs for crew services.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
