Saturday Street Work on 15th Ave S, Rainier Ave S and Beacon Ave S

(SEATTLE)--This Saturday, December 6, Seattle Department of Transportation crews will repair several Beacon Hill and Southeast Seattle streets where the pavement was excavated for work on underground utilities. They will work on 15th Avenue South, Beacon Avenue South, and Rainier Avenue South. Flaggers will direct traffic through the work zones. Work will begin at 9 a.m. and lanes should be reopened by 3:30 p.m., once the asphalt patching has cured.

The work will take place in the 3200 block of 15th Avenue South (between Stevens and Winthrop), the 5100 block of Rainier Avenue South (at 39th Avenue South), on Rainier Avenue South at Medley Court south of South Austin Street, and the 3000 and 3400 blocks of Beacon Avenue South (between Stevens and Hanford, and between Hinds and Spokane).

For more information, please contact Eric Stewart at 206-255-2349.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
