SDOT crews to improve sidewalk and bus stop at Fourth Ave S and S Michigan St

(SEATTLE)--SDOT crews will begin working on Saturday November 15 on the east side of Fourth Avenue South, just north of South Michigan Street. They will close the northbound curb lane and the sidewalk from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. while they improve the street at this King County Metro Transit bus stop. The crews will replace asphalt with concrete paving in the lane where buses stop, and will install a new sidewalk and curb bulb. The crews plan to complete the work within two weeks, weather permitting. This project is made possible by funds from the Bridging the Gap transportation initiative approved by Seattle voters.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
