Cranes to Work on Downtown Streets this Weekend

(SEATTLE)--There will be two street closures downtown on Saturday, November 8, for the operation of cranes.

Fifth Avenue between University and Union streets will be closed from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. for work on the Fifth Avenue Theater. The sidewalk on the west side of Fifth will remain open.

Spring Street will be closed from Third to Fourth avenues from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. for work on a pedestrian bridge. The sidewalk on the north side of Spring Street will remain open.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
