Construction on 15th Avenue S this weekend

SEATTLE-SDOT Street Maintenance crews will replace concrete panels in the 1500 and 2000 blocks of 15th Avenue South this weekend following work on underground utilities at those locations.

The street will be closed to both north and southbound traffic from the intersection of 14th Avenue South and 15th Avenue South, to South College Street starting at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Traffic will be detoured to 14th Avenue South.

The street will be reopened to southbound traffic by 5 p.m. on Saturday, and to northbound traffic by noon on Sunday, providing time for the concrete to cure.

The street will remain open to pedestrians.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
