Construction on South Bangor Street this weekend SEATTLE- SDOT’s paving crews will repair the pavement on South Bangor Street in the far southeast corner of Seattle this weekend. The street will be closed to traffic in both directions with a detour in place from 51st Avenue South to 55th Avenue South starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 26. The street will be opened to eastbound traffic by 5 p.m. that same day, and opened to westbound traffic no later than 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, after the pavement has had time to cure.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
