Neighborhood Meeting to Discuss New Residential Parking Zone in North Green Lake Neighborhood

SEATTLE-The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) encourages area residents and businesses to attend a neighborhood meeting at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9 at North Seattle Community College (9600 College Way North, Room IB 3327) to discuss and design the proposed Residential Parking Zone (RPZ) in the North Green Lake neighborhood.

RPZ’s are used to ease parking congestion in residential neighborhoods by discouraging long-term parking by non-residents.

The proposed boundaries of the RPZ are:

• North 80th Street to North 85th Street

• Densmore Avenue North to Meridian Avenue North

The purpose of this meeting is to gather input about the potential signage, time limits, and other details of the project. It is important that residents and businesses who wish to be involved in the process attend this meeting.

For more information about the City of Seattle’s RPZ program, please visit Seattle Transportation’s Web site at www.seattle.gov/transportation/rpzprogram

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees that better connect the city's neighborhoods with the rest of the region.
