Two downtown streets closed for crane operations on Saturday, June 28

SEATTLE- One block of Cherry Street and one block of Ninth Avenue will be closed Saturday, June 28, to accommodate crane operations on adjacent buildings.

Cherry Street will be closed between Second and Third avenues from 3:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The sidewalk on the south side of Cherry Street will remain open for pedestrians.

Ninth Avenue will be closed between Virginia and Stewart streets from 4:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. The sidewalk on the east side of Ninth will remain open for pedestrians.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
