Major traffic impacts on Elliott/15th, June 16-30

SEATTLE- The northbound Nickerson/Emerson on-ramps to the Ballard Bridge will be closed 24-hours a day from June 16 to 30. During this period a detour route will be in effect, heading south on 15th Avenue West to West Dravus Street, and then northbound on 15th Avenue West to the Ballard Bridge.

SDOT’s contractor will also be paving 15th Avenue West from West Lee Street to West Nickerson Street at night, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. from June 16 to 30. At least one traffic lane in each direction will remain open.

In addition, the Galer Street Flyover and the Magnolia Bridge Extension over 15th Avenue West will be closed on June 17, 18 and 19 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Drivers will be able to get to Port of Seattle facilities and the Magnolia Bridge by turning onto the bridge at Garfield Street.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
