Meeting to Discuss Proposed Residential Parking Zone in North Green Lake Neighborhood

SEATTLE-The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) encourages area residents and businesses to attend a neighborhood meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 19 at North Seattle Community College (9600 College Way North, Room IB 3327) to discuss the proposed installation of a new Residential Parking Zone (RPZ) in the North Green Lake neighborhood.

RPZ’s are used to ease parking congestion in residential neighborhoods by discouraging long-term parking by non-residents.

The proposed boundaries of the RPZ are:

• North 80th Street to North 85th Street

• Densmore Avenue North to Meridian Avenue North

The purpose of this meeting is to provide residents and businesses with the results of SDOT’s recent parking study and to provide further information regarding the RPZ process. Also, during the meeting a neighborhood committee will be organized to help design the zone so it will best meet the parking needs of the community.

For more information about the City of Seattle’s RPZ program, please visit Seattle Transportation’s Web site at
