Reminder: Night work June 2 to June 6 on East Madison Street

SEATTLE-SDOT’s paving contractor plans to work at night from June 2 to June 6, grinding off the old surface of East Madison Street between 10th and 18th avenues.

The contractor will continue to work during the day on East Madison Street between Terry and 10th avenues, on curb ramps, sidewalks and pavement base repairs.

At least one lane in each direction will remain open.

The paving is funded by the Bridging the Gap transportation initiative approved by Seattle voters. Other major paving projects this year are on First Avenue South, the Elliott /15th Avenue West corridor, and Fifth Avenue.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
