Lane Closures for Repair Work on Saturday and Sunday

On Saturday, May 17, from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., SDOT will close the right lane both eastbound and westbound on the Spokane Street Viaduct from I-5 to SR 99 while making repairs to potholes in the roadway.

SDOT will continue the pothole repair work on the Spokane Street Viaduct on Sunday, May 18th, from 4:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The left lane will be closed both eastbound and westbound on the viaduct from I-5 to SR 99.

During the lane closures all on- and off-ramps will remain open on Saturday and Sunday.

In addition, on Saturday, May 17, Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) crews will close the southbound far right lane of the Alaskan Way Viaduct 200 yards north of Pine Street from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in order to make repairs to the joints in the decking.

SDOT crews will then close the northbound right lane of 15th NW over Leary Way from 11:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. while making repairs to the joints in roadway at the north end of the Ballard Bridge.

The repair work on the viaduct could take less time then estimated, in which case the work on 15th will begin sooner and could take less time to complete than predicted as well.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
