Sidewalk repair at East Madison Street and 41st Avenue East

SEATTLE-SDOT paving crews plan to begin replacing the sidewalk at 41st Avenue East and East Madison Street on Friday, April 18. The sidewalk was damaged by tree roots. Stumps of the old trees will be ground out, and new trees planted. On-street parking will be restricted as needed to complete the work. The crew expects to complete sidewalk repairs early in May.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
