SEATTLE- SDOT will replace concrete panels on Corson Avenue South this weekend. Corson will be closed to through traffic between South Michigan Street and East Marginal Way South starting at 8:45 a.m on Saturday. Through traffic will be detoured to Fourth Avenue South.

Corson will reopen to southbound traffic when the work is completed on Saturday, expected by 5:30 p.m. The street will remain closed to northbound traffic until Sunday at 9 a.m. to allow time for the concrete to cure.

The work is necessary to repair the pavement following work on underground utilities.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
