Southbound lanes of Boren Ave, from Seneca to Spring, to be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Feb 18

SEATTLE- Utility work for the expansion of a medical center will require the closure of the southbound lanes of Boren Avenue between Seneca and Spring streets from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays, beginning February 18 until the end of March. During other hours and during weekends, only the southbound, curb lane will remain closed. Northbound traffic on Boren will not be affected.

During the closure, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays, southbound traffic on Boren will be detoured to Seneca Street, then to Ninth Avenue, and then to Madison Street before returning to Boren. On-street parking will be restricted where needed to accommodate the detour.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
