Alaskan Way lane closures

(Seattle) - Alaskan Way, just north of Clay Street, will be reduced to one lane in each in each direction from Saturday, February 9th through February 13th. These lane closures are required to construct the cathodic protection system, which will protect the steel portions of the seawall from corrosion.

After the initial construction period, intermittent lane closures will occur during the off peak periods until the work is completed.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during construction.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's transportation infrastructure. The department manages an $8 billion infrastructure consisting of streets, bridges, pavement and trees, and the long-term investments to better connect Seattle with its neighborhoods and the rest of the region.
