Seattle Police Arrest Homicide Suspect

SEATTLE—The Seattle Police Department is pleased to announce that shortly after Noon on January 25th, probable cause was developed to book James A. Williams, a 48-year-old Seattle man, for the murder of Shannon Harps.

Shannon Harps was murdered outside her apartment on Capitol Hill on December 31st, 2007, after walking home from a nearby store. Since that night Seattle Police Homicide Detectives have worked tirelessly to apprehend Harps’ killer.

“We hope that this arrest will provide some comfort to Shannon Harps’ family and relief to the community,” said Chief Gil Kerlikowske.

Suspect Williams will be booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Homicide.
