Seattle Police Seek Assistance in Assault Case

SEATTLE – The Seattle Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying a suspect in a January 13th, 2008 assault. The assault occurred at the bus stop in the 300 Block of East Pine Street at approximately 10:45 P.M. The unknown suspect was harassing a female in the bus stop when the victim tried to intervene and attempted to assist the woman. The suspect then became aggressive toward the victim. The unknown suspect punched the victim in the head from behind, causing the victim to fall and strike his head on the ground. The victim remains hospitalized as a result of his injuries.

The suspect in this case has been described as a black male in his late 40’s. He is described as between 5’9” to 6’ tall, 150 pounds, with a slim build. He has been described as having a “wrinkled face.” He was last seen wearing a black knit ski cap, black thigh length coat with a 1-2” white stripe down the length of the sleeve. He may have been wearing a black velvet sweat suit and was carrying a large black backpack. He may also be wearing gold rings and/or bracelets.
