Fremont Bridge early morning closures October 16 through 19

SEATTLE—SDOT’s contractor plans Fremont Bridge closures from 1:35 a.m. to 5:15a.m. on Tuesday, October 16 through Friday, October 19. The bridge will be closed to all traffic including pedestrians and bicycles to continue work on the bridge’s mechanical and electrical systems. The closures will be on:

Tuesday, Oct 16, 1:35 a.m. to 5:15 a.m.
Wednesday, Oct 17, 1:35 a.m. to 5:15 a.m.
Thursday, Oct 18, 1:35 a.m. to 5:15 a.m.
Friday, Oct 19, 1:35 a.m. to 5:15 a.m.

King County Metro buses will not be impacted. The closures start after the last bus crosses the bridge at 1:34 a.m. and ends before the first one crosses in the morning at 5:12 a.m., which is the reasoning for the off-hour closure times.

Marine traffic will not be impacted by these closures.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
