Cranes to work on Spring Street and on Elliott Avenue West this weekend

SEATTLE-Ness Cranes will be working at two locations on major streets this weekend, impacting traffic.

Spring Street will be closed to all traffic from Western Avenue to Alaskan Way on Saturday and Sunday, October 6 and 7, from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. A crane will lift steel and erect a tower crane for construction of the Waterfront Place Condominiums.

Crane work will also take place in the 400 and 300 blocks of Elliott Avenue West (near West Harrison Street). Elliott Avenue West will be restricted to two lanes in each direction on Sunday, October 7, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $8 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
