Storm Status of Seattle Parks and Recreation Programs, Facilities
Seattle Parks and Recreation is canceling some programs and closing some facilities
today because of storm damage and/or power outages.
- Community Center before/after school programs: Cancelled.
- Community Center scheduled programs: Southwest, High Point, South
Park, Miller, Queen Anne, Meadowbrook, and Loyal Heights community centers
are closed. Centers will reopen for drop-in programs if power is restored.
Please call individual centers for updates. Information: http://www.seattle.gov/parks/centers/.
- Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center: Closed, programs are cancelled.
- Swimming Pools: Meadowbrook, Evans, Queen Anne, Rainier Beach, Medgar
Evers, and Southwest pools are closed but may open later if power is restored,
systems are in working order, and water quality is verified. Ballard and Madison
pools are open as normal for drop-in programs. Please call individual pools

- Swim lessons: Cancelled.
- Swim meets: Cancelled.
- Small craft centers: Closed, programs are cancelled.
- Special Pops: Programs are cancelled.
- Senior programs: Programs are cancelled.
- Teen programs: Will operate normally if centers have power. Please
call individual centers for updates.

- Environmental learning centers:

- Carkeek Park: Open and operating normally.
- Seward Park: Closed.
- Amy Yee Tennis Center: Closed.
- Outdoor sports practices and games: To be decided later in the day.
