Seattle Channel Presents: A Day With Chief Kerlikowske Monday June 27th at 8:00 p.m.
Seattle Police Chief Gil Kerlikowske will be five years on the job this summer. The 32 year law enforcement veteran leads a department of almost 1900 men and women working to prevent crime, enforce the law and support public safety. A big job.
The Seattle Channel wanted to know what it’s like and what it takes to be a big city police chief. To find out we sent the Seattle Channel’s cameras and producer Gary Gibson over to the Public Safety Building to spend an entire day with the Chief.
Where ever he went, we went.
Along the way our camera’s sat in on a meeting of the department’s top brass, a local media briefing, a check-in with the members of the fire department as well as stops at the Mayor’s office and community groups.
So tune-in Monday night at 8 p.m. for the Seattle Channel’s very own version of ‘cops’.
The Seattle Channel is available on channel 21 for Comcast and Millennium Digital Media cable customers. The Seattle Channel is web cast around the clock on the Internet; the programming carried on the city municipal channel is streamed simultaneously on our website.
