Mayor Celebrates Rehabilitation of Historic Cadillac Hotel -
Groundbreaking Ceremony to kick off Restoration

Who: Mayor Greg Nickels, City Councilmember Richard McIver, Jim Peoples - Key Bank District President, and representatives from the Historic Seattle, National Park Service, Pioneer Square Community Association and other partnering organizations

When: TODAY, Tuesday, July 6, 2004 - 1:00 p.m.

Where: Cadillac Hotel at 319 2nd Avenue South, Pioneer Square (2nd and Jackson)

The City is helping to restore the historic Cadillac Hotel that was damaged during the 2001 Nisqually earthquake by providing a $2.04 million federal loan and more than $200,000 in federal grant funds for the project.
