"Ask the Mayor" with Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels
SEATTLE - Mayor Greg Nickels will take calls from listeners during "Ask the Mayor" on the Seattle Channel at 7 p.m., October 1, 2003.
Mayor Nickels will discuss his proposed 2004 Budget including cutting school crossing guards, community service officers and raising parking meter rates. Also, the Mayor's plan for Northgate and his thoughts on the upcoming General Election, including five Council seats up for a vote and a citizen initiative to create "Council Districts" and elect lawmakers by neighborhoods.
"Ask the Mayor" is a live, monthly show hosted by C.R. Douglas on Seattle's municipal cable channel that offers citizens the opportunity to take their questions and concerns directly to the Mayor. The call-in number is (206) 684-8821. Douglas also will collect e-mail questions for the mayor through 5 p.m. the day of the show. Send your queries to: askthemayor@seattle.gov
The Seattle Channel is available on channel 21 for Comcast cable customers and channel 28 for Millennium Digital Media cable customers.
