The Seattle Channel to cover downtown art gallery walk
First Thursday Uncut debuts Dec. 5
SEATTLE — This week, for the first time, the Seattle Channel will take viewers to downtown Seattle’s First Thursday Art Walk. Rain or shine, viewers can see what’s happening and who’s making news in local galleries.
First Thursday Uncut debuts Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, 8-10 p.m. The Seattle Channel’s Nancy Guppy and Matt Smith will tour galleries and the Seattle Art Museum and talk with people on the scene. Seattle Channel cameras will capture it all. The program will run "Uncut" for two hours on the Seattle Channel (Cable 21/28) and will stream on the internet at www.SeattleChannel.org
Founded by Pioneer Square galleries 18 years ago, the First Thursday gallery walk has turned into a monthly downtown happening with street artists, musicians and Seattle’s arts fans out to see and be seen. First Thursday Uncut will catch it all.
