Gregorich brings extensive strategic experience to the position
SEATTLE - Seattle Mayor Ed Murray announced today he has hired Christopher Gregorich to serve as Chief of Staff. Gregorich will provide executive-level leadership for the Mayor's office.
"Chris has a stellar reputation as a strategist with strong relationships in the political arena, and he will be an excellent asset to the City of Seattle," said Murray. "I look forward to having his political and organizational experience added to my executive staff."
Gregorich most recently served as Director of Public Affairs at Nyhus Communications, where he delivered top-tier legislative counsel and media and government relations strategy to clients, in addition to helping manage a team of ten public affairs professionals. His background includes extensive government and campaign experience, including serving as State Director for U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell and working on the campaigns for U.S. Congressman Derek Kilmer and former Governor Chris Gregoire.
"It's an honor to come back to the City of Seattle where I worked in the Mayor's Office of Policy and Management over ten years ago," said Gregorich. "I am excited to join Mayor Murray's executive team to help implement his vision of an inclusive, collaborative, and equitable city for all."
Gregorich has a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Washington.
He starts on March 10. His salary will be $140,000 a year.
