South Park Community Center cancels haunted house
Halloween Carnival is taking place

 

South Park Community Center, 8319 8th Ave. S, cancelled the teen program haunted house this year. The haunted house was scheduled to take place on October 24 through October 26, 2013.

The South Park Carnival will occur as scheduled on Friday, October 25, 6:30 – 8 p.m.  Families are invited to in a family night of spooktacular fun. Costumes are encouraged and optional. Food will be available for purchase and game tickets can be purchased for $0.25.

Seattle Parks and Recreation offers many Halloween events for southwest Seattle. Halloween Carnivals
Ages: 11 and younger
Cost: $0.25 per ticket

High Point Fall Festival
Everyone in the family is invited to join in an evening of fun! Kids will enjoy a variety of “frightfully fun” skill-challenging games and activities. This event is created in a way that provides thrills without unnecessary fright. If able, we request a donation of a non-perishable food item to be donated to the West Seattle Food Bank.
Ages: 5-12 years old

High Point Haunted House
Come and join us for our annual Halloween Carnival and Haunted House! Enjoy an evening of scary fun! Do you dare go into the haunted house? Costumes are encouraged! This is a great family event.
Location: High Point Community Center, 6920 34th Ave. SW
Date and time: Thursday, October 24 and Friday, October 25, 5-7:30 p.m.
Cost: $2

High Point Toddler Pumpkinpalooza
Come dressed in your best costume for pumpkin painting, carnival games and more. Each child will receive a bag of age appropriate goodies upon leaving.
Ages: 1-5
Location: High Point Community Center, 6920 34th Ave. SW
Date and time: Tuesday, October 29, 10 a.m.-noon
Cost: $5

Southwest Pool and Teen Life Center Halloween Events
Family Swim: Looking for activities for the entire family? Bring your little ghosts and goblins to Southwest Pool/Teen Life Center and take a dip with the pumpkins! There will be games, a penny dive, bobbing for apples, and other fun activities. Bring the entire family!
Carnival: Fun games and activities for kids 10 and under.  Local Southwest teens are volunteers will run the games to ensure that your little goblins have a great time.
Ages: All; anyone under 18 must be accompanied in the water by an adult
Location: Southwest Teen Life Center and Pool, 2801 SW Thistle St.
Date and time: Friday, October 25, 6-7:30 p.m.; Swim 7-8 p.m.
Cost for family swim: Free Fall Carnival: $0.25 per ticket.
