SEATTLE – With construction of the Montana Bar parklet nearly complete, the parklet is set to open at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18. Funded by the Montana Bar as part of Seattle’s Pilot Parklet Program, the parklet will provide a new public open space on Capitol Hill.

Rachel Marshall, co-owner of the Montana Bar, and Jennifer Wieland, manager of SDOT’s Public Space Management Program and the Pilot Parklet Program, will be available onsite to answer questions.

Date:    Wednesday, September 18
Time:    5:00 p.m.
Place:   1506 E. Olive Way, Seattle, in front of the Montana Bar

Construction began on Monday with the delivery of the parklet frame, and installation of the parklet deck, ramp, stairs and planters. Landscaping and final detailing will be completed on Wednesday morning, prior to the afternoon opening.
