No solid waste collections Christmas, New Year’s Day
Recycling and disposal stations closed Dec. 25, Jan. 1

SEATTLE — No garbage, food and yard waste or recycling collections are scheduled in Seattle on Tuesday, December 25 and Tuesday, January 1.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday collections will be collected one day later those weeks due to the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays. Please be sure to have your containers available by 7 a.m., to ensure collection.

Seattle Public Utilities will telephone its customers this week to alert them of this change.

The City of Seattle’s North Recycling and Disposal Station in the Fremont/Wallingford area and the South Recycling and Disposal Station in the South Park area will be closed on December 25 and January 1.

The North Recycling and Disposal Station is located at 1350 North 34th Street. The South Recycling and Disposal Station is located at 8105 5th Ave South. The stations are open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
