Mayor McGinn's statement on Seattle Public Schools winning federal Race to the Top funds

"We congratulate Seattle Public Schools on winning this award. We stand ready to assist the school district, as we have been doing with the Families and Education Levy, Attendance Campaign and our city departments." - Mayor Mike McGinn

Mayor Mike McGinn formally supported the proposal for Race to the Top federal funds from the Community Center for Education Results, the Puget Sound Educational Services District, Seattle Public Schools and six other South King County school districts.
