Celebrate Summer on a Smooth note!
Othello Park Festival is coming up on Sunday, August 19
Summer is here! If you've lived here through other summers, you know it may not last long. Make the most of the weather and plan now to celebrate summer on August 19 at the Othello Park International Music and Arts Festival. Kick back and relax to some of the best sounds Seattle has to offer, including Michael Powers, Angelo Pizarro , and Choklate!
The Festival, a free event and part of the Rainier Valley Culture Fest, is a celebration of music, food, arts, and activities as diverse as the cultures residing in the Valley. The August 19 celebration starts at noon and continues through 6 p.m. at Othello Park, just a block east of the Othello Light Rail Station.
Stop by the food vendor and fill your belly without emptying your wallets. Entertain the kids with creative activities including a hands-on pottery wheel, mask making and henna tattoos. Music, food, families, and fun... there is no better way to celebrate summer in Seattle!
Visit our Facebook page (Othello Park Alliance), and follow @OPIMAFest on Twitter for frequent updates on the artists, vendors, performers, and sponsors of the Othello Park International Music & Arts Festival.
The Othello Park International Music and Arts Festival is possible through the support of our stage sponsor, The Station at Othello Park, and the rest of our generous sponsors; HomeSight, 4Culture, Seafair, Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs, Seattle People’s Fund, Whistle Stop Coop, The Norcliffe Foundation, Seattle Parks and Recreation, the City of Seattle Neighborhood & Community Arts program, and the Rainier Valley Post.
