Community Meeting for S. Riverside Street End and Shoreline Improvement Project in the South Park Neighborhood

Seattle Parks and Recreation, Seattle Department of Transportation, Port of Seattle and Seattle Parks Foundation invite you to a public meeting to discuss the S. Riverside Street End and Shoreline Improvement project. The community meeting is June 19, 2012, from 5– 7 p.m. at South Park Community Center, 8319 8th Avenue South.

This project is part of a larger shoreline improvement effort that is funded by the Parks and Green Spaces Levy. The Levy provides funding for planning, design, permitting and construction for approximately 11 street end projects.

S. Riverside Street End and Shoreline Improvement project includes opening the street end for public use by removing trash, restoring the shoreline along the Duwamish River, installing a pathway, benches, native landscaping, signage and possibly other access improvements. Design and public involvement will take place this summer 2012 with construction in the fall. Construction will be completed by December 2012.
