Puppies on Parade! Seattle Parks and Citizens for Off-Leash Areas sponsor the first annual Dads and Dogs Parade
Enter furry friends and show them off at the Fremont Fair! Fabulous photo op!

The annual Fremont Fair will feature a brand new event this year: the first annual Dads and Dogs Parade, an opportunity for Seattleites to showcase their (preferably) costumed canines.

The parade, sponsored by Seattle Parks and Recreation and Citizens for Off-Leash Areas (COLA), parallels the famous Fremont Solstice Parade itself. It takes place on Sunday, June 17 at 2:30 p.m. To enter your dog, please go to the Parks/COLA booth, which will be located at the west end of the fair at the northwest corner of 1st Ave. NW and N 35th St., near the PCC Waterfront Stage. Registration takes place onsite from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and costs $10 per dog family. Proceeds go to COLA, a local nonprofit that advocates for and supports off-leash areas in Seattle, to support maintenance of Seattle’s off-leash areas.

The parade starts at the PCC Waterfront Stage and Tubaluba, a great brass band, will lead it.

For more information on COLA and all of their great efforts visit coladog.org. Click here for a list of Seattle Parks and Recreation’s 12 off-leash areas.
