Youth/Young Adult TownHall Forum at Garfield Teen Life Center
Hip Hop legend and icon Kurtis Blow joins as special guest

Seattle Parks and Recreation’s Youth Violence Prevention Program and Bembry Consulting Services invite you to come out and join legendary hip-hop pioneer and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Kurtis Blow, at Garfield Teen Life Center on Monday, May 28 from 10 a.m .– 1 p.m. Garfield Teen Life Center is located at 428 23rd Ave.

The event focuses on addressing “The Facts, The Challenge and The Solution” to youth violence and sustainable communities.  Facilitated discussions around race and social justice, youth violence prevention and hip hop culture along with video clips from “Ride Tails” featuring Tuskegee Airmen legends and “Speak Out” on youth and public safety will provide background and topics for discussion.
