Broadway Hill Park Community Design Meeting

The Friends of Broadway Hill Park, Seattle Parks and Recreation and the park design consultant, SiteWorkshop, are holding a public meeting for Broadway Hill Park – formerly known as FedRep Park – on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1300 E Aloha St., Seattle, WA 98122.

At this community meeting, participants can provide input on site design which reflects the identity and character of the neighborhood.  In particular, we will be reviewing details of the project; the garden, natural play spaces, the “front porch” upper part of the park, and other spaces.

This property located at Federal Ave. E and E Republican St., was recently acquired by Seattle Parks and Recreation with funding from the Parks and Green Spaces Levy. The community used a Neighborhood Matching grant to hire landscape architects SiteWorkshop, and design development started in February of this year.
