SEATTLE — TVSea, the city of Seattle’s municipal cable channel, brought home six awards from the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors 15th annual Government Programming Awards. The TVSea documentary "Teen Music in Seattle: dead or alive," a look at the teen dance ordinance, received a second-place award in the documentary social issues category and the City of Seattle website (www.cityofseattle.net/) received a second-place award in the city or county website category.

"Voices of the WTO," the TVSea documentary which looked at the issues that brought protestors and delegates to Seattle, was awarded a third place in the documentary profile category. The Police department’s "Beyond The Badge" program won a third place in the "bloopers/outtakes" competition.

Earlier this summer, TVSea received four awards in the Alliance for Community Media’s annual Home Town USA Video Festival. TVSea can be seen on Channel 21 in approximately 160,000 homes in the city of Seattle.
